As a PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions & Support) school, staff and students at Monroe Elementary support positive behavior. We are respectful, responsible, and caring. By focusing on these important qualities teachers are able to teach and students are able to learn in a safe environment. Expectations and consequences are clearly communicated and we rely on a positive relationship with all families to support and reinforce positive student behavior.
Everyone makes mistakes or bad choices. This is a normal and unavoidable part of life. A person of character is honest about their choices, fixes them, and works to improve. Monroe staff does not “punish” bad choices. Instead, we focus on providing every student the resources and the caring, supportive environment necessary to create positive change.
